I am muck obliged for Dr. Doberck's table showing the observed values of A in the hygrometric formula, et differ- -ent readings of the wet bulb thermometer for each 24"

difference between dry and wet.

I note that, whereas in the published tables accompany- -ing his letter of 22/8/17 Dr Doberok makes the A of his formula vary with the first and second powers of t, from his

1912 1917 observations he makes A constant for all values

of t, and numerically smaller than his former determination.

Dr. Doberok does not furnish details of how his new formula

is derived, I am therefore unable to express an opinion as

to its suitability for use here, or elsewhere.

From ar

examination of the figures accompanying his letter of 1/3/18, however, it would appear that the A derived from these observations varies with the first and second powers of t, and with (t - t').

It is hoped that a uniform method of making and reducing

hygrometric observations will be decided upon in conjunction

with the British and Indian Meterological Services. In the

mean time no alteration of procedure is contemplated here.
